Extensive Jury Trial Expertise
Prior to founding the firm, Peter served as a prosecutor with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. Peter worked in the elite Repeat Offenders Unit, Federal Litigation Unit and Major Trials Unit. He prosecuted over 40 major jury trials to verdict. Peter’s jury trials include winning a 65-130 year sentence against a gunman who robbed 13 women and children in a nail salon. He also won the first animal cruelty jury trial conviction in Philadelphia history, against a defendant who ran an extensive dog fighting ring.
Big Firm Sophistication
Before joining the District Attorney’s Office Peter worked at prestigious Philadelphia law firms, most recently White and Williams LLP. There he litigated major cases in Federal and State Courts, including commercial insurance coverage, bad faith, agent errors and omissions, construction, business interruption, and subrogation. Peter obtained numerous successful judgments for his clients on insurance coverage disputes in Philadelphia Commerce Court and elsewhere. Peter collaborated with a major international insurance carrier to draft a risk management guide accompanying the launch of a novel e-commerce/intellectual property insurance product. Peter handled arbitrations between insurance carriers in commercial arbitration forums, and obtained appellate affirmation of an arbitration award before the Delaware Court of Chancery. Peter has served commercial and residential clients by obtaining zoning variances from the Philadelphia Zoning Board of Adjustment. Peter has drafted, argued and won numerous appeals in Pennsylvania and New Jersey appellate courts.
Prior to White and Williams LLP, Peter worked at other established Philadelphia firms, where he litigated products liability, toxic tort, wrongful death and construction cases in Federal and State courts. Peter won a summary judgment motion for a major university and numerous contractors, dismissing the claims of eight plaintiffs alleging brain damage from exposure to solvents.

Recognition by the Courts
Judges themselves rely on Peter’s vast experience. In 2013 Peter was certified by Chief Judge Chief Judge J. Curtis Joyner of the United States District Court to serve as an arbitrator to decide Federal Cases. In 2012 Peter was appointed by the President Judge of Philadelphia County to serve as a Judge Pro Tem to assist Judges in resolving civil cases. Peter has been serving as an arbitrator in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Arbitration Program for over 20 years.
Academic Recognition
Peter taught Trial Advocacy and Criminal Procedure to upper level students at the Rutgers University School of Law. He helped coach the Law School’s Trial Team, which achieved a National Ranking of 10th of the 268 teams in the 2009 American Association for Justice National Trial Competition.
Peter lectured at the University of Pennsylvania College of Arts and Sciences regarding Constitutional search and seizure law. Peter has trained certified DNA analysts to testify as expert witnesses in rape cases, and has trained Philadelphia Police Department narcotics officers on how to testify as expert witnesses in drug cases.
Giving Back
Peter has devoted his expertise to the community through extensive pro bono work, including representing abused and neglected children in civil dependency proceedings and criminal cases through the Support Center for Child Advocates.
Peter graduated from Temple University School of Law in 1997 after receiving various academic honors, and after having completed internships with Judge Marlene Lachman of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, the Civil Division of the United States Attorney’s Office and the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. Peter graduated from the State University of New York at Albany in 1994, after receiving numerous honors. He studied history and economics and rowed on the crew team.
Peter is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as in the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Middle District of Pennsylvania and District of New Jersey. He is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association.
